2010 MERIT AWARD WINNER - PENNSYLVANIA/DELAWARE CHAPTER OF THE ASLA

Description

A significant expansion to the existing house created new site planning opportunities on this 7 acre estate. The master plan featured a re-aligned driveway which created a new approach to the house, terminating in a formal auto court. The focal point of the court is a 7′ diameter antique mill stone which conceals the drainage system. The new garage is connected to the new addition with a wisteria-draped pergola. A kitchen herb garden, formal stone terraces, perennial gardens, antique sculpture, water features and antique garden furniture complete the new outdoor spaces.
