The First Ronald McDonald House

Description

An overall landscape master plan was prepared for this unique and special site located between an historic building and a new building. Garden spaces which included play space, memorial garden, entrance and gathering spaces were designed for the guests and residents of the site. This urban site on a very busy city street posed many challenges. The plant material selection and the layout of the garden spaces had to reflect low maintenance concerns, handicapped access and safety issues, as well as color and seasonal interest for the guests at this much- needed/used facility for families.
